Rockcliffe Riverine Public Art Program

ART+PUBLIC UnLtd was engaged by Stantec and the City of Toronto to develop a Public Art Strategy to guide future public art opportunities across the entire Rockcliffe Riverine Flood Mitigation project, and to manage the selection process for  public art opportunities for Jane Street and Scarlett Road bridges.

From research and synthesis ART+PUBLIC UnLtd identified challenges, opportunities and goals that shape the vision and direction for Public Art.

The Rockcliffe Riverine Public Art Program is embedded within the Rockcliffe Riverine Flood Mitigation Project and will unfold over the span of 3 phases. Timing for the plan is tied to the overall remediation and construction across various locations.

The hybrid aesthetics of green space with industrial infrastructure across all sites provide public art opportunities that are attuned to the surrounding landscape.
